Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Golden, smoky, perfectly seasoned
Serves: 2–3 | Time: 30 minutes

You’ll need
• 2 large, sweet potatoes, peeled or unpeeled
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp sea salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• Optional: ½ tsp chili powder for heat
• Optional: 1 tbsp cornstarch for extra crispiness

Let’s Make It

1.    Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.    Slice sweet potatoes into even fries. Pat dry with a clean towel.

3.    Toss fries with oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cornstarch if using.

4.    Spread fries out on the baking sheet. Keep space between them so they roast instead of steam.

5.    Bake 15 minutes. Flip. Bake another 12–15 minutes until edges are crispy and golden.

6.    Rest 3–5 minutes to finish crisping before serving.

Pro Tip: For extra crisp edges, soak sliced fries in cold water for 20 minutes, then dry thoroughly before seasoning.

Make It Spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne or chipotle powder before baking.
